Claimed allowances or adjustments could be:
Omitted overtime - we require a start and finish time, no units or amounts required.
Omitted leave – the date and the duration of the leave. If it is a part day we will require the time the leave commenced.
Claiming kilometres – the description should be kilometres and the units should be the amount of kilometres travelled.
General rules to remember:
Check the appropriate Collective Contract for rules on entitlements.
Overtime can only be paid after the completion of 8 hours or the greater of 8 hours and the standard shift hours. I.e. the standard shift may be 10 hours.
Call-backs cannot be continuous with a normal duty. There must be a break in-between the duty and the call back. If there is not then it must be overtime.
On call allowance should only be paid for hours that the employee is not working. i.e. on call does not start until the overtime is completed
