From the previous payslip example
1. The Sick Leave Balance (point 1 on the example) is recorded in days, not hours. The
example attached shows 14.5 days.
2. TheLeaveAvailablebalance(point2)isrecordedinhours.Thisbalanceisatotalofallthe leave that you currently have available to use. The leave balance is as of the Accrual Date shown (point 8).
3. Transferable(point3):
 If this is a positive balance, this is the annual leave carried forward from previous years
entitlements.
 If this is a negative balance, this means you are using your current years annual leave that you are accruing.
 The transferable is annual leave and is stated in hours. 4. AccruedYTD(point4):
This is the total number of hours annual leave you have accumulated since your last annual leave anniversary date. The annual leave anniversary date is the day and month that you commenced with the Waikato District Health Board and your annual leave updates on this day every year. (This is so the annual leave average rate can be calculated. See page 9 for more information)
5. Public holiday (point 5)(Alternative Holiday as from 1/4/04):
These are hours credited for public holidays worked or rostered off.
6. Shift leave (point 6):
These are the hours credited for the shift leave as they become due. (See page 11 for) more information)
7. On Call leave (point 7):
These are the hours credited for the on call leave as they become due. (See page 11 for) more information)
