Plaster trap sinks
You can ind these in:
• Lab Tests on Level 1
• Reception F Level 2
• Reception E Level 2
• Medical Outpatients Level 3
• Endoscopy staff base Level 3
• For disposal of plaster water. Plaster Room sinks can be found in Orthopaedic Outpatients Stage 2.
Lost property
• Blue power sockets = uninterrupted power supply. Important for medical equipment that cannot have power supply failure e.g. Ischaemic Arm Block Machine. These power points have a battery back up. For prolonged power failure medical equipment should be changed to essential power.
• Needs to be placed in clear plastic bag. Label with date, time and location found, hold for seven days in area where found then send to charge nurse manager,
Level 3, Meade Clinical Centre.
• Red power sockets = essential power supply. Power to these points will be lost for 12-15 seconds until the backup generator starts.
Mail
• White power sockets = non-essential power supply. In the event of a power failure these points will have no power until it is restored.
Will be delivered and collected from reception points and bookers and schedulers.
• Brown power sockets = exclusively for the cleaners to use. The cleaners are not to plug cleaning equipment into any other power points.
Medical gas alarm panel
• There are medical gas isolation valves at various locations throughout the loors. Discuss with the coordinator the need to turn off the valve if there is a major leak or problem.
• Residual Current Device (RCD) = All power points are protected with an RCD. In the event that the RCD trips, power will be lost to the power points on that circuit. To reset the RCD press the green button. If the RCD trips again unplug the last piece of equipment plugged into the circuit and reset again. If the problem persists notify Property and Infrastructure or the on-call engineer via the duty nurse manager.
• Remember closing the valve will turn off the gas supply to all gas outlets in that zone. Contact during open hours – Property and Infrastructure. After hours – duty nurse manager.
