Attendant request
Call bells display
• Make these requests through the attendant section of the customer portal on the intranet
• Call Bell: Green for patient calling, Yellow for colleague calling if you require a hand, Red for emergency
• Pick up points are identiied as reception points.
• If there is a fault with the call bell system, notify the charge nurse manager or outpatient manager and depending on the urgency of the issue they will contact Property and Infrastructure.
Bags – staff
• Lockers are provided in changing rooms on Level 1 and corridor space on Level 3 at south end of building
Ceiling mounted hoist
• You need to provide your own padlock with key for the locker while at work. Please do not claim an individual locker; there are limited lockers
• This is located on Level 1 in Procedure Room 12, slings located in equipment store on shelf
• For visiting staff or staff with medical reasons that need bags close by, please place them in the workrooms. We do not want to see any bags lying around in the staff bases please.
• Located in Level 3 Day Stay
• 250kg safe working load of hoist
• Hoist motor is located in HDU Level 4.
Breast feeding location / baby change table
• The cleaners will usually be in the department after hours
• A Parent Room is located on each level near the public toilets.
• They will be available for terminal cleans
Call bell cords
• Spare call bell cords can be found in the Equipment Store on Level 1.
Cleaners
• To request a terminal clean, fax an HW1 to the duty nurse manager on ext. 98749 giving the room details and the curtain type found on the label at the bottom of the curtain.
