0730–1600 weekdays and 0730–1130 weekends and public holidays, the latter restricted to dedicated wards only. Please ensure request forms are available by 0730 each day for the morning round.

The Phlebotomy Co-ordinator can be contacted Monday to Friday 0730 – 1600 on 021801352
The phlebotomists perform micro-collects (i.e. capillary samples). They do not take blood from luers or cannulas or take arterial blood gas samples.
Due to limited resources, the phlebotomy team provides a skeleton service over weekends and public holidays (0730- 1130 hrs) for CCU, M5, M14, M3, M2, M12, NICU, E2, E4, E5, OPR4, AMU, A2, A3, A4 and babies (micro-collects) in the Elizabeth Rothwell building.
